Who is James Parichy?
Welcome
Hi, I’m James Parichy, and I’m so glad you found your way here. Reaching out for support is a vulnerable act—especially in a world that still stigmatizes mental health and doesn’t always make space for who you are. Seeking therapy takes courage, and I believe it is an honor to walk alongside people as they heal from past pain, navigate life’s challenges, and discover new paths forward.

What You Might Be Feeling
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming and isolating—like everyone else has it figured out while you’re falling behind. Maybe you’ve been through difficult experiences that feel impossible to move past. Perhaps you feel anxious, depressed, second-guess yourself, or worry that you’ll say the wrong thing. These struggles can leave you feeling unseen, unheard, and alone.
The truth is: you don’t have to carry this by yourself. Reaching out for support is a powerful first step toward change.
My Approach
I provide a warm, affirming, and non-judgmental space where all parts of you are welcome. We are all multifaceted individuals trying to find our authentic selves, and that can be a hard journey without someone to support and cheer you on.
My work is rooted in cultural humility, inclusivity, and trauma-informed care. I am committed to affirming LGBTQ+ identities, honoring neurodivergence, and understanding how race, culture, gender, class, and ability shape each person’s unique experience.
I take an integrative approach, drawing on a variety of tools—including cognitive behavioral therapy, stress management, mood and anxiety regulation, inner child work, and self-worth building. Sessions are tailored to what you need in the moment. Sometimes we’ll focus on day-to-day stressors, while other times we’ll explore deeper patterns or past experiences. Together, we’ll work toward healing while also recognizing and building on your strengths.
Why I Do This Work
When I was eight years old, a classmate locked themselves in a closet and refused to come out. Teachers couldn’t reach them, but for some reason, the classmate asked for me. With my mother’s consent, I went inside and simply sat with them. I don’t remember what we said, but I do remember what it felt like: being present, offering comfort, and reminding someone they weren’t alone.
That early experience shaped who I am today. I know what it’s like to feel isolated, and I carry that memory with me in my work as a therapist. My role is to sit with you in those difficult moments and help you find your way forward.
