Talking about your feelings and emotions can be challenging, especially if you've received messages that you should hide your feelings, avoid vulnerability, or handle everything on your own. In therapy, we'll explore how these experiences have shaped the way you understand yourself, express your emotions, and build relationships with others. Together, we'll work on becoming more comfortable identifying, expressing, and sitting with your emotions without judgment. My goal is to help you develop greater emotional awareness, build healthier ways of coping, and feel more comfortable being yourself.

Therapy is an opportunity for self-exploration, personal growth, and working through life's challenges. I believe you are the expert on your own life and have the capacity for growth and healing when met with empathy, acceptance, and genuine understanding. Through person-centered therapy, I work collaboratively with you to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences, better understand yourself, and uncover meaningful insights. You guide the direction and pace of therapy, while I support you in processing your experiences, recognizing patterns, and navigating challenges in ways that feel meaningful to you. I integrate person-centered therapy with trauma-informed and psychodynamic approaches to help you deepen self-awareness, strengthen your relationship with yourself, and work toward lasting change.

Part of self exploration is having a better understanding of ourselves. I help you by incorporating elements of Psychodynamic Therapy. It is a framework that focuses on deep exploration. It helps foster self-understanding rather than specific behavioral techniques. It helps you to understand where some of your challenges come from. This is where we will delve into the inner workings of your life and understand where some of your challenges and struggles come from. I incorporate psychodynamic elements with trauma informed and CBT approaches to help support healing. m

Together we will engage in recognizing patterns that impact your thoughts, behaviors and feelings. We will look at the connections while beginning to develop ways to change them. I believe we need to acknowledge our feelings as they provide important information on how your thoughts and behaviors were impacted. By untilizing this framework it can help you to navigate around less being worried about what others might think or break unhelpful patterns. Collaboratively we will delve into your feelings while developing tools to change your thoughts and behaviors.

Do you find yourself feeling overwhelmed by your emotions or struggling to understand how past experiences continue to affect you? Trauma can take many forms, and its impact can influence how you see yourself, navigate relationships, and respond to everyday challenges. Through a trauma-informed approach to therapy, I recognize that everyone's experiences are unique and that I cannot assume how those experiences have affected you. Together, we'll explore the impact of your experiences with compassion, curiosity, and understanding. I'll incorporate practical tools, mindfulness, and psychoeducation to help you better understand your emotional responses, develop emotional regulation skills, and feel more grounded and connected to yourself.
